Enterprise Account Sales

The Opportunity:
Main role will be to generate and close sales of solutions from Onvia’s Enterprise Group to firms with revenues in excess of $200 million. Responsibilities are to generate, develop and close sales opportunities within an assigned territory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the EVP, Business Development
  • Generate plan to ensure broad penetration into the large accounts within your territory
  • Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level
  • Develop and provide custom presentations to prospective customers to solve their business problems
  • Develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets

Requirements:

  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers
  • At least 8 years of field sales experience selling an “intangible” service and/or data-rich products such as research and analysis, information services, consulting services
  • Experienced with business to government sales processes
  • Managing a complex solution sale with a 2 to 4 month purchasing cycle
  • Making prospecting an integral part of your regular routine ensuring new prospects are being added to the sales funnel on an ongoing basis
  • Managing a complex, corporate or enterprise solution sale with a 3 month to 6 month purchasing cycle.
  • Continually learning about our new products, and those of your clients, and improving your selling skills. Will be required to attend training events throughout the year and will be expected to participate in tutorial learning when appropriate
  • Being well informed about current industry trends and being able to talk intelligently about how our solutions relate
  • Effectively using the sales CRM tool to enter all sales information
  • Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows
  • Preparing presentations, reports proposals and price quotations
  • Assisting in contract negotiations
  • Building and managing a quantifiable 12 month sales pipeline including the ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time
  • Effectively and efficiently deploy our solutions at appropriate stages in the sales cycle to advance the sales process
  • Proven ability to sell large deals and to meet or exceed quotas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently, but within a team environment
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Available to travel 25% to 50%
