Sales Manager

The Opportunity
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of 8-10 Sales Professionals to achieve and exceed their sales goals. The Sales Manager provides leadership and inspiration, coaching and skill development, and ensures every team member achieves their goals. The Sales Manager is responsible for implementing and managing metrics and processes that are highly predictive of the team’s sales success.

Core Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, vision, and clarity around the team’s goals and each individual’s accountabilities for achievement
  • Ensures the team is present, motivated, and purposeful in achieving and exceeding their goals; responsible for team esprit d’accord
  • Actively phone screens, interviews, and selects new individuals for the team
  • Assesses individual account managers and provides guidance as to their skills, developmental areas, and encourages them to set their own goals for success
  • Provides coaching to team members by conducting formal, weekly 1 on 1’s to evaluate progress against goal
  • Mentors sales representatives on a daily basis by monitoring calls, giving and soliciting feedback, encouraging commitment and determination
  • Provides selling skills training to account managers in a formal and informal environment
  • Responsible for all administrative duties associated with Sales Team to ensure orders are booked accurately and timely
  • Actively participates in leadership meetings and interacts with the Product and Marketing teams on a regular basis to solicit and drive performance feedback

Position Qualifications

  • 5 years min sales experience w/ 3+ years of management experience
  • Solution based sales process required
  • B2B sales experience required
  • Demonstrated success in selling intangible solutions required
  • Subscription based sales experience preferred
  • Excellent pipeline development and management practices
  • Track record of leading teams to success
  • Proven ability to consistantly overachieve quotas and goals
  • Very high degree of business acumen
  • Experience leveraging performance reviews and employee disciplinary actions
  • Proven conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide accurate, timely report and forecasts as needed by management
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong technical/computer skills
  • Outstanding work ethic and organizational skills (50+ hours a week expected on average)
  • Superior communication abilities (both written and oral)
  • Process oriented personality
  • Strong understanding of CRM applications
  • Proven track record of leading teams in a YOY growth
  • BA/BS required or relevant experience
